Unfortunately, as we have reported in several previous issues of The Social Contract, though North Carolina’s capital city of Raleigh is more than 1,500 miles from the nearest border crossing with Mexico, the children of that state have been preyed upon as if they live in a border state. Though, the numbers of reported child sexual assaults are down significantly from just a few years ago (reaching an all-time high of 672 charges in April 2014), one is too many, and completely preventable.

Between January 1, 2017, and November 30, 2017, at least 530 child sexual assault charges were filed against illegal aliens in the Tarheel State.

What follows is a list of perpetrators and their various crimes against children, compiled by the citizens’ advocacy group known as North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement (NCFIRE):¹

Let us re-examine why so many illegal aliens from Mexico prey on our children.

Throughout the majority of Mexico’s 32 states, the age of sexual consent is merely 12 years of age. In addition to Mexico City, the age of consent is 12 in the following Mexican states: Aquascalientes, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chiapas, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla, Queretaro, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosi, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, and Tamaulipas.

The age of consent is 15 in Mexico State, 13 in Yucatan and Zacatecas. The age of consent is actually listed as “puberty” in Nayarit and 14 in the seven remaining Mexican states. Unfortunately, the culture of having sex with young girls is then carried with many Mexican men as they cross into this country (illegally).

Article 261 of Mexico’s Federal Criminal Code states: “Whoever, without the purpose of reaching copulation, performs a sexual act on a person under 12 or on a person that has no capacity of understanding the meaning of the act or that for any reason cannot resist, or demands that the act is performed, will be punished with a term of 2 to 5 years in prison.”²

Why are the numbers down?

On October 29, 2015, North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory signed into law House Bill 318, known as the Protect North Carolina Workers Act, which banned cities and counties across the state from enacting so-called “sanctuary policies” to shield illegal aliens from deportation after being apprehended for other crimes.³

At the signing ceremony, McCrory said: “Today, North Carolina is standing up for the rule of law, which is central to North Carolina values and our country’s values. Public safety officials must have the flexibility and tools to investigate crimes and sanctuary city policies that deprive law enforcement of those tools.”

Local authorities in North Carolina can no longer prevent their law enforcement officers from inquiring into a suspect’s immigration status. These localities can no longer prevent sheriff’s departments from reporting illegal aliens to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), for deportation, as well.

However, in May 2016, The Charlotte Observer reported: “…according to a news release Tuesday from Senate leader Phil Berger’s office, ‘several law enforcement officials have contacted lawmakers to raise concern that some local governments are not complying with the law.’”⁴

Of course, with the 2016 election of Democrat Roy Cooper as governor of North Carolina, the citizens of the Tarheel State may see Cooper attempt to roll back the work the state legislature and former Gov. Pat McCrory accomplished in protecting the state from criminal aliens.

In conclusion, the struggle will continue, and as in any invasion, the innocent children are always the ones who suffer most.
